PRESS RELEASE: Sleeves Up, A Touchpoints ASBL Project Shortlisted For EEPA 2023
After being designated as the "National Winner" for its "SleevesUp" project supporting refugee entrepreneurship last August, the non-profit organisation Touchpoints has been shortlisted for an award in the "Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship" category of the EEPA 2023.
According to its stated mandate, [The] European Enterprise Promotion Awards recognise excellence of initiatives supporting entrepreneurship among public administrations and public-private partnerships within the European Union and associate countries in the Programme for Competitiveness and SMEs (COSME). It is sponsored by the European Commission.
Commission. The EEPA recognises projects in six categories. Touchpoints ASBL's Sleeves Up project is the only Luxembourg based initiative among 19 others from 13 countries that made the shortlist. Winners will be announced later this year in November during the SME Week at the SME Assembly 2023 in Bilbao, Spain.
Since 2016, Touchpoints supports refugees and other foreigners in starting businesses in Luxembourg by providing practical training in the administrative aspects of business creation, as well as individual pre- and post-creation support. "We are very proud of this international recognition for a unique project that we have been implementing for over 7 years in Luxembourg," explains Fabienne Colling, Co-founder and Director of the association. "We are very grateful to everyone for the support, partnerships, sponsorships and dedication that made this possible."
